Vintage Glass Cocktail Shaker - Anchor Hocking Banded Rings Pattern - 48 Ounce Prohibition Era Drink Mixer

Sorry, this item has sold.

Featured is a fabulous glass cocktail shaker from Hocking. This pattern by Anchor Hocking was manufactured for only 6 years, from 1927-1933. It is identified in AH catalogs simply as "Number 1300" with "Decoration 21" but has become known as the "Banded Rings" pattern. This piece of glass stands 8 3/4 inches tall without the shaker top and holds a full 48 ounces. It's interesting that this was made during Prohibition. What were people mixing in it back then? The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Minimal wear to the colored bands. The metal top, likely made of tin, has taken some blows through the years and is dented. The shaker still seals nicely to the glass, and the top still fits snugly on the shaker.
