Featured is a Yashica-D twin lens reflex camera made by Yashica Co., Ltd. between 1958 – 1972. This was made with the company’s top of the line 4-element Yashinon lenses and f/2.8 viewing lens. The “D” is Yashica’s top of the line, knob wind, meterless TLR. This model was In production for more than 14 years, this type of camera is very desirable and collectible for the great build quality, reliable operation, and excellent optics.
Overall, the camera is in wonderful condition. There is a bit of rubbing and a couple scuffs, but they all add to its character. There is some engraving on the right side (see photo 2), and the bracket that connects to the film access panel is missing one screw completely and has another replacement screw temporarily in place (see photos 2 and 4).
Also included are also viewing lens #1 and taking lens #1, a leather Rollei case in which to store them, and the classic Yashica neck strap (see last photo).
Note - I have never loaded this camera with film and never taken pictures with it. I cannot vouch for its operation. I have noted the defects my amateur eye could recognize. Everything else seems to be in place and functional.
I do combine shipping when possible for smaller items and refund shipping overages if they’re over $1.50. Note, many large items cannot be combined into one box and must be shipped separately to give them the best chance of making their way to you safely. I’m not trying to make money off of shipping charges, and will do my best to provide you with the lowest possible cost. I strive to ship items no later than the following business day. Items are generally shipped USPS priority mail which includes $50 insurance. All items are carefully packaged. If an item is damaged during shipping, please take pictures and let me know immediately so a claim can be filed with the shipper. If you prefer an alternate shipping method please send me a message to discuss options.
Sometimes Priority Mail shipping is cost prohibitive (especially for those on the West Coast). Send me a message and we’ll see if Flat Rate shipping is possible. Prices for this service is generally about $19 for a “Large” box and about $13.65 for a “Medium” box. Note that USPS Flat Rate boxes aren’t that big, so this might not be an option when purchasing larger items.
